The programme aims to train learners for the changes they will face in the real world. Master of Social Work is a 2 year postgraduate degree programme offered by Netaji Subhas Open University in distance mode.The MSW programme is recognised by the University Grants Commission.

Applicants who are interested in pursuing a Master of Social Work programme, need to complete their 3 year bachelor degree in any discipline or LLB/B.Tech/B.Vocational in Child Protection. The university also provides study material to its enrolled learners in printed form and digital format. Applicants can collect the study material from the study centre where they have been admitted.

Eligibility Criteria and Course Duration of MSW at Netaji Subhash Open University

To be qualified for an MSW (Master of Social Work) programme from Netaji Subhas Open University, applicants are required to complete the bachelor’s degree in any field or complete LLB/BE/B.Tech/B.Voc in Child Protection degree from a UGC- approved university.

An MSW programme takes a minimum 2 years to complete which is divided into 4 semesters. The university does not require any maximum passing grade, but it is mandatory to obtain at least 45% to 50% at graduation level. Applicants can seek direct admission based on their merit score of the last qualifying examination. They do not have to be required to take any entrance tests. NSOU also provides marks relaxation to the reserved candidates.
