Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) offered by the NSOU in the duration of 1 year. This programme covers theoretical and practical approaches of the library & information science. MLIS programme has 7 compulsory theory papers, 1 elective paper and 1 paper on dissertation projects.

NSOU MLIS programme throughout the remote areas of West Bengal, distance MLIS programme is suitable for those who are interested in careers related organizations, information management and access and for those who are unable to attend traditional classes.

Eligibility Criteria and Course Duration of MLIS at Netaji Subhash Open University

Master of Library & Information Science is a postgraduate degree in the duration of 1 year offered by NSOU. To be eligible for the MLIS programme from NSOU, candidates need a Bachelor of Library & Information Science degree from a certified university with at least 300 marks.
